Develops in-depth knowledge of assigned program areas, including current issues and key resource people and organizations, and a clear understanding of how they fit in to interests. Develops and maintains adequate resource files for assigned program areas.
Coordinates with Development department to advise on the development of new programs and projects, and assists in proposal writing as necessary.
Oversees project cycle management: implements programs and projects as assigned by supervisor; develops best practices & tools for program and project management. Ensures programs and projects are carried out as per activity plans and timelines. Coordinates with Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to collect data about program/project as appropriate.
Develops and delivers reports (internal, progress & final), required documentation, and presentations for assigned programs and projects. Maintains administrative files for assigned programs & projects.
Develops and nurtures relationships with external partners who are critical to the success of programs & projects; maintains communication on a regular basis with such contacts.
