Mert graduated from Brandeis University in United Stated with a bachelor degree in Economics and a minor in Business Management. He focused his career in New York City in the growing technology industry. In 7 years, he started as junior sales person at an information security consultancy called NET2S which was acquired by British Telecom, and continued with the next company of NET2S’ CEO, Quod Financial which was a financial services software company. With UK based Quod Financial he was responsible with US expansionary efforts giving him a chance to work in both business development and operational aspects of the company.
Later on he went back to professional services by joining DataArt Solutions as a VP of Business Development spearheading the company’s newly founded Energy Division while co-heading its Finance Division. During his career he worked with many growth stage and large cap companies in Finance, Telecom, Media and Energy. In parallel during 2009 he launched his consulting practice, PartnerLink to offer management consulting services to start-ups on one hand and to growth stage companies for their international expansionary goals. Today he has moved back to Turkey to fully focus on his company PartnerLink with the goal of helping promising growth stage technology companies expand into Turkey and is working with a roaster of clients such as LockFone, ReserveOut and Bey2Ollak. As an adviser to Bey2Ollak he is working on defining the right strategy to target the traffic challenges in Istanbul and how to incentivize the 3.6 million driver to not participate in traffic pollution.
