Mona Farouk

An architect specialized in design and construction using appropriate and local building materials. Mona holds a Masters degree in Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design from University of Stuttgart and Ain Shams University. During her studies she learned the principles of sustainable and energy efficient architecture, and participated in a number of international workshops in the field of earth construction and alternative building materials. She also has practical experience in the fields of urban development, participatory design, architectural conservation, in addition to her current academic position as an assistant lecturer.
